Everyone loves to indulge in a bit of partying every now and again and this is no different for people having holidays to Lanzarote. Beside its wonderful playas and great all inclusive resorts, the volcanic Lanzarote has quite a few tricks up its sleeve for the ones who like to stay out dancing until the morning or simply for the ones who want to relax with an ice cold cerveza after a long day at the beach. Without further ado, here is our guide to some of the nightlife spots on the island to quench your thirst and party up.
Puerto Del Carmen
The island’s biggest resort unsurprisingly also happens to be the main centre of nightlife. When the night falls, Puerto del Carmen transforms into a party animal’s playground, with a multitude of bars and nightclubs catering for the people who like to groove all night. The Centro Atlantico on the Avenida de las Playas and the Old Town are considered to be the heart of the party as crowds gather to let down their hair and enjoy some R’n’R after long days at the beach.
Beside its wonderful sandy beach, Playa Blanca is amongst the main centres for nightlife around Lanzarote. Visit the Centro Commercial Papagayo close to Playa Dorada or the Centro Commercial La Mulata for wide selection of bars and clubs to choose from. In case that you want to show off your voice, you can always visit one of the karaoke bars dotting the areas or if you are more into an upscale place to enjoy a few cocktails by the sea, visit the Marina Rubicon.
Due to massive tourist development and its broad range of all inclusive hotels, Costa Teguise has evolved into one of the prime nightlife spots on the east coast of Lanzarote. Stroll around the Avenida de Jabillo and pick your favourite, or if you fancy a taste of home, head to the Pueblo Marinero and one of its hearty Irish pubs. There are quite a few sports bars around the area too if you don’t want to miss out on Premier League matches during your holidays to Lanzarote.
Tourist dives are not for everyone so in order to party like the locals during your holidays to Lanzarote, make sure you visit the island’s capital, Arrecife. As with most towns, Arrecife caters for any type of entertainment you might be after, from nightclubs to karaoke bars and from restaurants to gentlemen’s clubs and anything in between. As a further note keep in mind that most of the action starts after 11pm, so it would be highly advisable to take a nap before you dress up and head out.
Jameos del Agua
In case that you want to witness a unique nighlife experience during your holidays to Lanzarote, visit the stunning Jameos del Agua. The volcanic tube-come-restaurant hosts parties once or twice a week, turning the imposing cavern into a unique nightclub where music bounces off its massive stone walls and crowds dance till the early morning.
